RapidClad
Privacy notice
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This notice explains how we use the personal information you give us through the RapidClad website, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
RapidClad is a trading name of Stone (U.K.) Limited (“RapidClad”, “we”, “us”). We decide how and why your information is used, which makes us the controller of it under UK data protection law.
Stone (U.K.) Limited is registered in England and Wales, company no. 05271877. Registered office: South Planks Farm, Garstang Road, Barton, Preston PR3 5AB.
Our registration number with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is [ICO REGISTRATION NUMBER – TO SUPPLY].
To contact us about your information, email info@rapidclad.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through the form, we collect:
- your full name, telephone number and email address, so we can call you back;
- your company name, if you choose to give it;
- your project type (domestic or commercial), what you are cladding and the time you would like us to call;
- anything else you tell us about your project;
- whether you ticked the box to receive marketing emails, with the wording you were shown and its version.
When you send the form, our website also keeps a copy of your enquiry in its database, with the date and time, the page you sent it from, your IP address and your browser type. We use these to deal with your enquiry and to protect the form from misuse.
If you email or phone us directly, we collect what you choose to tell us.
To keep the website and form secure, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address. The form also uses a hidden field to catch automated spam; it doesn’t read anything from your device.
We use Google Tag Manager to manage measurement tools on this website, such as Google Analytics. These only set cookies if you accept them in our cookie banner. If you don’t, Google may still receive basic signals without cookies (for example, that a page was viewed), which help us understand how the site is used overall.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, through Google Tag Manager, to see how visitors use the website, such as where they click, how far they scroll and how they move around a page, so we can make it easier to use. Clarity can show us recordings and heatmaps of these visits. It only uses cookies if you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner. If you reject them, Clarity stops recording your visit. Until you choose, it treats each page you view separately, without cookies.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who ask about our products. If you are asking about a possible purchase for yourself, it is also to take steps you have asked for before entering into a contract.
- To send you RapidClad emails with news, technical updates and project case studies, only if you ticked the box. Our lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of these emails, or by emailing info@rapidclad.co.uk. Withdrawing your consent does not affect our reply to your enquiry.
- To keep a record of your marketing choice, so that we can show you agreed. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in being able to demonstrate your consent.
- To protect the website and the form from spam and misuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping our website secure.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity). Our lawful basis for analytics cookies is your consent, which you can change at any time. For the basic measurement that works without cookies, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used.
We send marketing emails only to people who ticked the box.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers to run the website and handle enquiries. They act on our instructions as our processors:
- Krystal Hosting Ltd hosts the website and the database that keeps a copy of each enquiry, and sends each enquiry to our inbox by email.
- Google provides the email inbox where we receive and answer enquiries (Google Workspace), and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager.
- Microsoft provides Microsoft Clarity, which shows us how visitors use the website (see “What we collect”).
If you accept analytics cookies, Microsoft also sets some of its own cookies through Clarity, such as MUID, which it uses for its own purposes, including advertising. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
International transfers
Our service providers, including Google and Microsoft, may process your information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the safeguards in their data processing agreements, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to further business are deleted 24 months after our last contact with you.
- Marketing: we keep your details until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your email address on a suppression list, so that we do not email you again.
- Record of your marketing choice (the wording you agreed to, its version, and when and where you agreed): kept while we send you marketing emails and for 2 years after you unsubscribe, so that we can show you agreed.
- Microsoft Clarity: recordings of visits are kept for 30 days, and heatmaps and click data for 9 months, then deleted by Microsoft.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- object to our use of it on the basis of our legitimate interests, and object at any time to marketing;
- ask for information you gave us in a portable format, where this applies;
- withdraw your consent to marketing at any time.
To use any of these rights, email info@rapidclad.co.uk. We will reply within one month. There is usually no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first by emailing info@rapidclad.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond without undue delay.
If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work, including one that remembers your cookie choice (cookieyes-consent). With your consent, we also use analytics cookies, set through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used: Google Analytics (_ga, and _ga_ followed by an ID) and Microsoft Clarity (_clck and _clsk, plus Microsoft’s own cookies such as MUID, CLID, MR, SM and ANONCHK). Until you accept them in the cookie banner, they stay switched off. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie icon at the bottom left of every page.
